As WU rolls through August 1998, we realize not everything can be good. Boy… do we realize it. WCW once again brings a celebrity into the fold at their summer pay per views. But, this is an interesting one… Join WU as we look at Jay Leno’s only venture into the ring with WCW Road Wild 1998.
You read that right. Our main event is an unforgettable one as Eric Bischoff and Hollywood Hulk Hogan team up to take on the odd team of Diamond Dallas Page and… Jay Leno. Can the king of late night become the king of the ring, as well? Or wI’ll the NWO send Leno back to his show embarrassed and dejected?
But that’s not all, as The Man is in action. The new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg, puts his title and streak on the line in a 9 man battle royal, taking on both NWOs, Wolfpac and Hollywood. Can Goldberg continue The Streak? Or will a new champion be crowned in Sturgis?
And, as always, stick around for Cash and Trash, and everything else in the Big Finish. The King of Late Night looks to add a new kingdom, as Wrestling Unwrapped reviews WCW Road Wild 1998.

About Wrestling Unwrapped
This is what happens when two guys who collect wrestling DVDs and love to talk, get together to talk about wrestling DVDs. The results are rarely pretty. Patrick rarely shuts up, and Harry is full of one liners. This leads to constant badgering about the best and worst in wrestling.
Growing up in Chicago, Patrick has never been away from wrestling. From WWE, ROH, AAW, SHIMMER, and everything in between, he’s had at least a taste of everything. More into the Chicago indie circuit, following SHIMMER and AAW, Patrick still never shies away from making his opinions heard to all who will listen. Patrick also serves as the W2Mnet Wrestling Senior Editor and helps organize things in the section.
Harry Broadhurst is a product of Youngstown, Ohio. He started watching wrestling at the age of six and attended his first live event at the age of nine. Harry’s been obsessed with this psuedosport every since. He also enjoys long walks on the beach and busting Patrick Ketza’s stones on Wrestling Unwrapped.
