Alexis Hejna, Andrew Orozco and Jonas Radulich present their Scott Pilgrim Takes off 2023 TV Show Review! Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is an anime streaming television series developed by Bryan Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski for Netflix. The series is based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels written and drawn by O’Malley, with the entire main cast from the 2010 film adaptation, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, reprising their roles for the English voice cast, and serves as both a sequel and re-imagining of the graphic novel and film. The series was released on November 17, 2023 to critical acclaim.

Unlike the film adaptation, which largely told the same story as the comics, Takes Off features a completely separate plot, with the titular Scott Pilgrim disappearing in the first episode, and Ramona Flowers, his love interest, taking the center stage, as she tries to find out who among the cast was responsible for his disappearance, all whilst other characters within the story work on a fictional adaption of Scott’s life.

About Radulich in Broadcasting’s Beginnings

Mark Radulich has been an internet personality since 2004 with his Progressive Conservatism blog. He then took that blog to the airwaves and created a podcast for it. It then changed to PC Live. After that, he brought out the 411mania Ground and Pound Radio as well.

Also, Mark would partner up with another 411mania alum, Sean Comer, to create the movie franchise review podcast Long Road to Ruin and then Robert Cooper to create the metal album review podcast, The Metal Hammer of Doom. Robert Winfree then added his own podcast, Everybody Loves a Bad Guy. That’s when the Radulich in Broadcasting Network was born. Joining Winfree in having their own podcasts were super fans Jesse Starcher (Source Material). Finally, Winfree and Radulich added a weekly movie review show to the ever-growing lists of podcasts on the Network called Damn You Hollywood.
