Animal Crossing: New Horizons, PS5 Backwards Compatibility

Animal Crossing

On this episode of Video Games 2 the MAX, Sean Garmer and Marc Morrison are once again joined by Jens Deitrich for a big discussion on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Konami dashing hopes about the Silent Hill rumors. The PlayStation 5 specs, and more.

The trio begins by having some banter about the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The current situation in all three of their states, how they are dealing with it, and Jens’s love for the bidet.

After that, Marc and Jens get into a lively and large discussion on what they enjoy most and least about Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Plus, Jens dishes more thoughts on Nioh 2. While Marc has thoughts on the Resident Evil 3 Demo and A Fisherman’s Tale. While both have also been playing the 2018 title Strange Brigade too.

Sean gets back to hosting duties as the guys talk about the nature of Final Fantasy VII Remake being episodic. Is this actually good for Square-Enix considering the number of issues they faced with their titles in the last 10-15 years? Does this help make sure we get an actual ending as well? Plenty of discussion on this too.

Furthermore, Konami blasts a hole through the Silent Hill rumors. Avalanche Studios become a group. Nintendo forcing the removal of anything Mario from Sony’s Dreams. The PS5 specs and all three of the hosts have different ideas on how far Sony will go with backward compatibility on PlayStation 4 titles. While they also talk about Gamestop’s essential status and curbside pickup idea.

Finally, they have a special topic on their favorite relaxation games in honor of the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In addition, Sean discusses his excitement for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. While Marc and Jens anticipate the release of Persona 5: The Royal as they both come out before the next podcast.
